I hate to be
negative but this was advertised as a "Competition Pow Wow". I am not
particularly fond of competition Pow Wow's as I view dancing as a prayer
and how can you judge who prays better? However, I did want to go and
dance.
Here's the part that I was a little "disappointed"
with, this Pow Wow didn't have a dance circle nor did it have any flags.
I could deal with the dance circle but no flags? Maybe I am just not
experienced enough and this is acceptable but it seemed just plain wrong
to have a Grand Entry with no flags. *sigh*
Either way, I had a good time dancing and watching
Jessica dance. She is really getting good and starting to experiment
with her footwork. She received many compliments from the other dancers.
Let me tell you, that was a tough crowd too. :)
